Welcome to the Orlando Surfrider Chapter

The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. Founded in 1984, Surfrider Foundation’s most important coastal environmental work is carried out by Surfrider Foundation’s 60 chapters located along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican, and Hawaiian coasts.

Surfrider Foundation now has over 50,000 members in the USA; in addition, International Surfrider Foundation chapters and affiliates have been established in many foreign countries including the Surfrider Foundation Europe (with ongoing programs and Chapters in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy) as well as Japan, Brazil, and Australia.

Lake Mary Jane Paddlefest

  • What: The Lake Mary Jane Paddlefest is Orlando’s Largest, most inclusive SUP Race for Chronic Paddlers. Our mission is to build and connect the paddle community with a fun, charitable, and eco-minded event for all. We have spectator and family-friendly paddle races for every experience/competitive level, age, and paddle craft. Benefiting Orlando Surfrider Foundation.

The First Annual Surfrider Classic will take place this September at beautiful Sebastian Inlet State Park.

Friday Sept. 20 – Aquarina Beach & Country Club 7500 S. Hwy A1A Melbournre Beach, FL

1:00 – 5:00 pm Best Ball Scramble Golf Tournament

5:30 – 9:00 pm Registration Party @ Beach Clubhouse – Food, Beverage and Music

Saturday Sept. 21 – Sebastian Inlet State Park North Jetty

7:30 – 5:00 pm Surfing competition

5:30 – 10:00 pm Surfrider Soiree – Inlet Grill 2nd level Party w\ Food, Beverage & Music by Coastal Breed

Sunday Sept. 22 – Sebastian Inlet State Park North Jetty

7:30 – 3:00 pm Surfing competition

3:00 – 6:00 pm Awards Party – Inlet Grill upper deck

Contest is open to all amateur surfers with Men & Women divisions as follows:

Youth 0 – 18 yrs, Adult 18 – 50, Senior 50 +, SUP everyone.

This event is a fundraiser for The Sebastian Inlet Chapter of The Surfrider Foundation. We are an international organization anchored at the grassroot level by 81 chapters that fight for your right for healthy oceans & beaches.
