Take the pledge! Strawless Summer is an Orlando-wide initiative led by the Surfrider Orlando Chapter and Keep Orlando Beautiful to help local restaurants reduce single-use plastic waste. For 2 months (July through August 2026), participating businesses pledge to only provide straws upon customer request.
This simple shift helps: ✂️ Cut down on unnecessary single-use waste 💵 Save restaurants money on straw costs 🌴 Prevent straw debris from littering Orlando
Participating restaurants will receive promotional materials, community recognition in Keep Orlando Beautiful newsletters (4,000 Orlando subscribers) and at Plastic Free July events (300+ attendees), and the satisfaction of supporting a more sustainable tourism industry.
